 About me

Director. Producer. Writer.

Above all, Storyteller.

Cody’s career as a filmmaker, photojournalist, and above all a storyteller began at 16. Since then, his work has taken him across Central and North America capturing stories of worker exploitation in Guatemala to wildfire disasters in the Rocky Mountains. Cody’s work has been used by a number of organizations such as Rocky Mountain Conservancy, Hyatt, The CW Network, and more.

In the Spring of 2023, he transitioned from a documentary focus to a narrative focus in filmmaking. In the following months, he wrote, produced, directed, and scored several films. One of these films was named as a finalist and honorable mention at the Student World Impact Film Festival where it was selected out of 13,000 submissions from 130 countries and secured a distribution deal with Amazon Prime. As a Producer and Director, he has organized the successful production of films ranging in size from 5 people to 35 crew members filming in dozens of locations across numerous states.

In September 2023, Cody was brought on as a Producing Intern for the Multimedia/Broadcast Department at the Kennedy Center. After completing the internship, he was hired as a Multimedia Specialist and Producer. Here, he works alongside a talented crew to produce the nationally airing television series Next at the Kennedy Center as well as produce, direct, film, and edit live events such as the Office of the Surgeon General Medallion Ceremony starring Aloe Blacc, Ariana DeBose, and Reneé Flemming, Millennium Stage performances, and Pops concerts with the National Symphony Orchestra oftentimes starring performers like Jacob Collier and Cynthia Erivo.
